I thought I was making quite good madeleines until I came upon this article in the New York Times where Amanda Hesser is praising this humble but so tastefull dessert. In her article you will find some alterations in the basic recipy and also a way to fold a napkin into a jewel box, so that you can serve the madeleines the way they deserve. I tryed to make it but it was impossible. If anybody of you have more success I would like very much to see it in step by step images.
