One of the biggest success of the film Chocolat (apart from the divine combination of those blue walls and the old wooden furniture in Julitte Binoche’s chocolaterie) was the film location. That was Sarlat-la-Caneda, one of the most attractive medieval towns in Perigord Noir, south western France. We are staying in Sainte Nathalene, 7 klm distance from Sarlat and we can’t have enough of the town. It is magical.
